Abstract

Acute subdural hematoma (ASDH) is a collection of clotting blood that forms in the subdural space & it remains one of the most difficult tasks faced by neurosurgeons because of the high mortality and morbidity of the disease.The usual mechanism of an acute subdural hematoma is a high-speed impact to the skull. This causes brain tissue to accelerate or decelerate relative to the fixed dural structures, tearing blood vessels.
