Mangrove ecosystem sustainability is determined by the success of the relationship between the parties relating to its management. But it turns out in practice often arise various problems referred to as the Principal-Agent problem. The purpose of this study was to determine the problems that occur in the relationship between Perum Perhutani (principal) with Cultivators (Agent) in mangrove management in state-owned land in Muara Gembong, Bekasi Regency, and West Java Province that continues to be degraded and deforested.
