Abstract

Transformational and transactional leadership, which focus on the relationship between leaders and employees, are the most recent development of leadership theories. Yet studies on the impact of demographic profile of a leader on transformational and transactional leadership styles are limited. Specifically, this contribution addresses two issues (1) the evaluative attitudes of the business leader towards transformational and transactional leadership styles (2) the relationship between leadership styles and personal demographics of the leader. The evidence collected from 85 of business leaders who are members and ex-members of the Egyptian Businessmen
