Abstract

Unsafe abortion is a major public health problem in Sub-Sahara Africa. East Africa Holds the highest rates of unsafe abortion among the adolescent girls. In most countries in the region unsafe abortion is the leading cause of obstetric complication that needs a special attention. The purpose of the study was to assess the abortion case load in the national and Zonal (regional) maternity referral centers.
