Abstract

In recent years, the volume and frequency of financial crime in Nigerian banks have been on the increase with obvious effects on performance. This paper therefore examines the implications of financial crime on bank performance in Nigeria. After the analysis of the manifestations and implications of financial crime on bank performance, the paper concludes with recommendations in dealing with financial crime. Prominent of these recommendations include the need for the creation of the corruption
