A Paradigm Shift to Outcomes-Based Higher Education: Policies, Principles and Preparations

This article presents the policies regarding Outcomes-Based Education (OBE) System of the Commission on Higher Education and explores some of the principles of OBE that abound the literature. It is intended to help Batangas State University, particularly the College of Accountancy, Business, Economics and International Hospitality Management, prepare for a paradigm shift to an outcomes-based higher education. It does not claim nor attempt to be a comprehensive review or treatise on OBE.
