This publication describes the first ever comprehensive Quality Assurance program of a linear accelerator to be developed and performed in Ghana, West Africa. Sweden Ghana Medical Centre has been operating an Elekta synergy Platform Linear accelerator over the past years. The QA programs, results and performance evaluations are presented and analyzed over a twenty (20) month operational period. The checks include daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly quality assurance procedures as well as patient specific quality assurance in accordance with the centre
